Why NorthEnd Rose as the name for your company?

I'm proud to have been born and raised in Hartford, CT. The name "NorthEnd Rose" gives a nod to me having grown up in Hartford's Northend on Rosemont St. (BTW Rosemont is one of our top selling scents)

What does it mean that wax has memory?

When you light your candle for the first time, be sure to let it burn long enough that the wax pool (the puddle of melted wax) reaches the sides of the candle vessel. When you light it again, the wax will "remember" that it's supposed to melt out to the sides which can help keep your candle from burning straight down the middle. It also helps your candle burn longer.

Why coconut soy wax?

The short answer...because I love it! HA! Seriously, though, it's a natural wax which was important. The combination of coconut wax and soy wax makes for a longer burning candle, a burn that's smooth and more even and an improved scent throw than just soy alone. 

What should I look for when purchasing essential oils?

You want to look for essential oils that have terms like pure, unadulterated, some may be marketed as "therapeutic grade". The long and short of it is you want essential oils that do not contain fillers or additives and have been deemed as a quality oil based on tests like the GC-MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer) test which identifies substances present in a particular test sample. <nerd goggles off>

How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders typically ship in 3-5 business days. All orders are shipped through USPS Priority. 
If your order qualifies for Small Order shipping (see Shipping info), your order will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes we do! But (isn't there always a "but") we offer local pickup on a limited basis...usually 1x per week on a specific day during a specific timeframe. Please wait until you've received your "Order is Ready" email before traveling to the pickup location.
